We process the following data:

• Date of birth
• Residential address
• E-mail address and telephone number
• Biometric data: thumbprint

3. Purpose and legal basis for processing

Performance of the contract: We need the data to be able to provide you with the ordered service (searching and reading the letter).

Specific consent: The processing of your thumbprint is carried out solely on the basis of your express consent for the purpose of identifying your palm leaf in Indian libraries.

4. Data transfer to third countries (India)

Due to the nature of the service, your data (date of birth, gender and thumbprint) is transferred to palm leaf libraries in the Republic of India. This transfer is necessary to identify your leaf. India may not have the same level of data protection as the EU, so we ensure that the data is only provided to verified partners (leaf readers and trained employees of the special libraries where the leaves are stored).

5. Data retention period

We store personal data for the period necessary to provide the service and subsequently according to the statutory deadlines (archiving of accounting documents). The thumbprint is deleted after the successful/unsuccessful completion of the search and reading process on our side, unless the client requests otherwise.

6. Your rights

Your data is safe with us. We use encrypted communication and only persons directly involved in the leaf search process have access to your sensitive data.
