Hanuman, the monkey-headed god, is believed to have extraordinary power in Hinduism. He is a symbol of courage, strength, perseverance and unwavering devotion. In the epic Ramayana, he stands by Rama’s side and helps him save his wife Sita – which is why he is considered the protector of those who are true to their heart and values.

Hanuman is often worshipped in times of fear, doubt or psychological stress. Tradition says that his energy can weaken influences of Saturn (Shani) and bring inner strength and protection to a person.

Life can seem very difficult during saturnian periods. However, we are not obliged to suffer, for a significant part of the obstacles can be prevented and avoided. Think of it this way – before leaving the house, I look out the window to see if the sky is cloudy or if it is raining. If so, I take an umbrella with me. I consciously act in such a way as to eliminate the effects of potentially adverse circumstances in advance. And if I’m already soaked? I try to rise above the storm with my spiritual vibration, because I know that the sky above clouds remains clear.
